This cockscomb amaranth is a show stopper for fresh bouquets and dried flower arrangements.Beautiful magenta color that can be cut a nd come again until frost. I have been breeding this variety to have smaller heads so that the blooms fit proportionally in a bouquet. Most cockscomb flowers have a huge main head with tiny side shoots. I have been selecting out this variety for smaller flowers over 10 years. Every time I have my bouquets at market people ask a bout this flowers. I use cockscomb in mini dried bouquets, garlic braids and wreaths. Celosia is unique and fun!
Growing information – These seeds prefer light to germinate and need soil that is 70 degrees or warmer. Do not cover and. Lightly mist the seeds to improve germination. Start in a greenhouse 6 weeks before last frost or direct sow once the threat of frost has passed. Thin or transplant to 12-18 inches apart. Mature plants are 24″ tall by 18″ wide.

This calendula is unique and fun! The flowers are variable ranging from creamy white and yellow to orange on the top side. This flower has 2 toned petals that are a dark color on the underside of the flower petals, Because of the dark undersides, this dried calendula makes the darkest oil I have ever infused.

Our live red wiggler compost worms are grown at our worm farm in Williams, OR. We use a variety of sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices breeding red wigglers, including feeding the worms a steady diet of organic scraps and homemade bedding. What to do when your Red Wrigglers Come Home
Like other living creatures, red wrigglers worms are perishable and will not survive in certain conditions, so as soon as they arrive they should be brought inside.
The box with live compost worms should be opened This helps increase air flow to the live worms and also cool them. NOTE: The worms may seem lethargic at first. This is because they have been confined to a small space and in transit. We do not recommend refrigerating the worms.
As soon as possible (within a few hours at a minimum) the red wrigglers should be placed in the bin or pile where they will reside. The entire bag of bedding and worms can be placed in the bin with moist bedding or compost pile.
